Mrs. Jane Wilkinson, wife of Milton Wilkinson, passed away early this morning at her home one and a half miles south of Garfield. Mrs. Wilkinson has been in poor health for the past year but her condition was not considered serious until two weeks ago when she suffered a paralytic stroke from which she was not strong enough to recover. The deceased was 74. She was the daughter of Burl and Ellen McCormick and was born on a farm 5 miles south east of this city. In 1869, she was united in marriage to Milton Wilkinson, who with the following 5 children survive: Mrs. Seth Swank of this city, Mrs. Mattie Kennedy at the home; Mrs. Garfield Parks and Elmer Wilkinson of Urbana, Ill and O.F. Wilkinson of Kankakee, Ill. Two sisters, Mrs. Frank Mason of New Market and Mrs. Urban Buchanan of this city with a number of grandchildren, great grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends survive. Funeral services will be on Sunday afternoon at 1 o'clock at the home in charge of Rev. Joseph, pastor of a Baptist Church near Thorntown with interment in Oak Hill Cemetery.
